PLHBA acknowledges that many players are involved in multiple sports. However, the association’s primary objective is to maximise participation in basketball. By updating court allocations from previous years, the association now has access to a greater number of courts, which in turn allows more teams to take part in the competition.
Domestic clubs are requested to remind their players and coaches that fixtures will not be altered to accommodate personal circumstances, other sporting commitments, or competitions run by other basketball associations.

CENTRAL WAIT LIST
For the 2026 season, PLHBA has implemented a Central Wait List for new players in consultation with our Junior Domestic Clubs.
This system:
- Prevents players joining multiple club wait lists
- Allows clubs to fill teams efficiently
- Ensures a fair and transparent process
⚠ Submitting an Expression of Interest does not guarantee a position in a team.
Clubs may contact successful applicants in mid-February 2026, once returning players have registered and team capacities are confirmed.
Unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted.
Given the popularity of this competition, available positions fill quickly.
